Thai companies hiring employees are required to register their business and employees with the Social Security Office.

Employees must be registered for social security within 30 days after commencing employment.  

The rate of social security in Thailand is 5% with the maximum contribution being 600 Baht per person.

Both the employee and employer pay the the social security contributions each month in equal share with the maximum monthly contributions being a total of 1,200 Baht.
